David Cowgill - Search Engine Marketing Manager
MY WORLD TRAVEL MAP

My world travel mapPush pin wall maps are out. Integrated Mashup Google maps are in. As you can see, I've started to map the coordinates of every major location I've been to (Japan, Thailand, Vietnam, Italy, Ireland, etc). Honestly, my travel outside the US isn't too impressive but that's starting to change.

If you click on a marker below, you can read a short description of when and were I went.

    My Top 5 Travel Resources:
  1. Eyewitness Travel Guides - Best travel books available. Excellent pictures and information. I always order from Amazon.
  2. Virtual Tourist - Where travelers share their travel advice and experiences. Great site.
  3. Kayak - Travel search engine that provides the best deals on airfare and hotels.
  4. Seat Guru - Airplane seat review site. View your seat before you book it.
  5. Project Visa - Visa and embassy information for all countries.

So how did I make my world travel map anyhow?
My world travel map has taken a lot of time to put together. If you're not very technical with websites, this probably isn't the best project for you. If you're up for the challenge, continue reading.

I use a free product called "GMapEZ". All you need to do is first sign up for a free Google Maps API Key, paste in some code, add some html content, and voila. The full directions are located at GMapEZ.
